Dr. Giuseppe Tosto received his and MD and took his residency training in Neurology at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" (Italy). He received his PhD in Neuroscience at the same institution. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Gertrude H. Sergievsky Center and the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain.

Dr. Tosto is a genetic epidemiologist who works primarily on populations with admixed ancestry, such as Caribbean Hispanics and African Americans, and has funded projects on admixture mapping and RNA sequencing in the context of Alzheimer's disease. Along with the cited area of interests, other projects focus on Alzheimer's disease heterogeneity and the use of disease's endophenotypes such as neuroimaging, CSF and neuropsychological predictors.
